The ST-302 IAX2 IP Phone is a low cost (around 96 euros with included VAT), but nice looking and with great possibilities telephone, for Voice over IP calls. All the functions of the standard phones and even more are supported by this IP Phone.

LCD

It has two-line LCD display, where the current date and time, your Caller ID and your Local Number could be displayed. When somebody is calling you, the Number of the caller (or the Caller ID) will be displayed on the LCD.

Buttons

Abreast of standard buttons like flash and redial, you could found buttons for the missed, answered and dialled calls. A Call and Speed Dial button as well as the Phone Book one and the very useful Back Space button, which function is to allow you to delete the last digit, you have been typed, in case you have made an mistake, which is a great solution, because with the most telephones, if you make a mistake you have to clear all the number and start from the beginning.

Under the LCD you could find the Transfer and Hold buttons. Through the first one you could transfer calls and thanks to the second one you could set a call on Hold. The volume of the handset as well as the hand free one could be adjusted by the buttons placed on the front panel of the phone, next to the Hold button.

Settings

Each of the phone settings could be easily configured through the Web Interface. It possesses a well-organized and user-friendly menu, separated into five sections – Network, Audio, Dial Plan, Protocol and Other Settings.

There are two access levels – simple and advanced, which is giving you more flexibility. If you use the advanced level, all the settings will be accessible, while through the simple level you could changes everything, except the Protocol settings.

Also, through the Web Interface you could add entries to your phone book There is place for up to 100 hundred entries.

Protocols

The phone supports five different protocols – IAX2, SIP, MGCP, H.323 and Net2Phone, which is usually typical for the IP phones from a higher class. You could switch between the protocols by changing the current version of the firmware you are using. This is not a difficult job at all and through the Web Interface it could be done for less than five minutes.

Ringtones

An interesting feature is the possibility to make your own ring tones. So your ST-302 could be more personalized and it will ring in a different way from the other phones.

Fast booting

Something which we have to mention and which we like very much is that this is the fastest booting IP Phone we have ever seen. What ever you do – upgrading, restarting, make and apply changes, this IP Phone boots for less then four seconds, which is really great.

In our opinion, the ST-302 IAX2 IP Phone is giving you great functions, which you could not find in any other IP phone on that price.
