Attempting to debug an issue with idefisk client v1.27 and Registration timeout.
Background:
I've got a AAH 1.5 system running that includes an IAX2 trunk to FWD as well as several sip extensions (PAP2's and SPA-3K). Local extensions are working fine as well as calls to other remote PAP2 users via FWD.
My spouse needs to travel Saturday to Spain for 2 weeks and I'm attempting to get IDEFISK working on a laptop.
Followed the instructions posted for the install, and created three (3) new IAX2 extensions, one for her laptop, one for my laptop and one for a 3rd laptop used by a family member.
My AAH system is behind a BEFSX41, port 4569 forwarded to AAH server.
I'm on a Covad/Earthlink dsl circuit, dynamic IP, but I have a domain name registered with dyndns.biz that points back to my firewall just fine.
Firewall LAN IP is 192.168.2.20

What's working: IDEFISK was installed and configured on two laptops. One remote laptop (located in another state) is able to register with my server and make/take calls to internal extensions just fine. This system runs WinXP, no software firewall installed.
My laptop was configured and while attached to my local LAN(same as the AAH server) is also able to register and make/take calls. This system also runs WinXP, no software firewall installed.
So far so good.
What's not working: IDEFISK was installed on spouse's laptop following same instructions as prior two. This laptop runs Win2K and does have a software firewall (ZoneAlarm) but I've shut it down.
Problem is when using my xxxx.dyndns.biz domain name in the HOST account entry table, the IDEFISK application registration process appears to just time-out. If the actual IP address of the AAH server is used, registration works fine.
I'm able to ping to the xxxx.dyndns.biz address just fine (both regular and IAXPING) so the address is being resolved via DNS.
I have not attempted to go OUTSIDE my firewall with this laptop and connect back in to the AAH server - would need to run down the the local Panera's to give it a whirl.
Any suggestions where I can look next to get this working before she departs Saturday?

The free service from dyndns comes with a caveat, if you IP address does not change for 35 days the dynamic dns entry is not resolveable. What this means is that if your WAN IP is over 35 days old, the dynamic domain cannot be found. If you are able to ping to the dynamin dns, I am assuming that your machine has cached the dns mapping.
So I would recoomend paying $9.95 and getting this condition removed.
Let us know if this solution works!
