Just dropping a line to see how hard it would be to config a simle 2 =
user PBX using LT Winmodems on a RH6.1 box. I plan one using merely 1 =
POTS line and to use it primarily for voice mail. It is for my roommate =
and I. Has anyone done anything similar w/ asterisk?? I didn't see the =
docs published on the site anywhere...

Nope, it's not way out there, I just thought my reply about the status of
the LTmodem stuff was sufficient.
Anyway, in a nut shell, it sounds like the ltmodem folks may have put
together most of the technical pieces, although it's not clear if they're
in a sufficiently usable format yet since they're all userspace (maybe
their /dev/irq stuff might be close enough to a kernel level to select on
-- it's definitely not pretty though, and it looks like even if I could
build a driver, at this state it would support only one winmodem).
I am told that QuickNet is sending me an Internet LineJack, which would
provide even better functionality, and should be fairly straight forward
to do given that I've already got the driver for the PhoneJack functional.

Sorry, sent that before I checked e-mail that day. I personally hate those
guys who purposely do what I did. Well, I'm excited to see what's up and
look forward to heavily MOD'ing Bessie (Bessie is my RH6.1 box, I name all
my machines after Hillbilly's). Well, I'll start watching more closely
thanks again.
