Hello all,
I've lately been looking for a solution on howto accept 3G Video Calls
through a PRI connection. As far as I read from various discussion
groups, noone has yet integrated the protocol stack.
While doing some research, I found the following site:
This company seems to offer a 3G video stack, which (in my assumption)
will do the work.
I'm not necessarily looking for a non commercial integration, I'm just
looking for any solution and I'd like to point the question on how
difficult it would be to write an Asterisk-API to this protocol stack?

I know somebody who already did this.
Afaik it depends on the hardware on the other side of the link.
It seems to be a rather simple task, he provided me with the details,
but was unable to sell the solution as he developped it in house for a
carrier.
(but he might be available for paid consultancy on how to do it)
Joachim.

Before trying to implement H.324M for Asterisk - does anyone know a
product which supports H.324 on a "normal PC" ?
I've tried "Alice" from AVM and a Gateway from Tandberg: Both accept
the incoming ISDN data call originating from a 3G network, but my 3G
mobile either shows an empty blue screen or the call is dropped after a
few seconds (no audio, no video).

Hi jens.
One more time, implementing the H324M for asterisk is not very easy since the H324M has to be in the lib PRI/BRI/SS7..... everywhere you could get the B channel.
Also, implementing H324M for asterisk would deal with AMR-NB which is under license... So legally not easy to do!
I have currently something working with asterisk. I can receive calls without any problems from a 3G phone and a SIP video softphone (eyebeam). But releasing it would be complicated because of those licenses problems.
Regard
