Hello-
When building release 0.1.2 (or the CVS tree), I have a problem compiling
channels/chan_phone.c:
chan_phone.c: In function `mkif':
chan_phone.c:798: `PHONE_VAD' undeclared (first use in this function)
I looked in /usr/include/linux/telephony.h, where all the other PHONE_
constants are declared, and there's no PHONE_VAD, for kernel 2.2 or 2.3.
Otherwise it builds fine and works okay (in console mode) if I comment it out,
and from the context, it doesn't appear to be fatal to leave in missing in
my build.
But nobody else seems to have mentioned this -- am I just a bozo? =)

You need a newer version of the telephony stuff from quicknet. This may
have made it into the 2.2.15, but i'm not sure.

The PHONE_VAD is used to do compression so that it only sends the 4-byte
VAD instead of the regular longer 24 byte frames for voice. This is a
relatively new addition to the API... It would be nice if we could maybe
#ifdef PHONE_VAD / #endif that section of code, but PHONE_VAD is an
ioctl... Hmm...

It may be an IOCTL but I bet it's a define nonetheless.
