Yes, I just realized the problem with not having full duplex - It makes it
impossible to patch channels together - BUT, this does not eliminate it
from Voicemail and other such capabilities.
I have added some additional state to the chan_modem_aopen code -
STATE_VOICE became STATE_VOICE_PLAY and STATE_VOICE_REC, and I have sent a
half a second of audio (Static in this case. As of yet I don't know why
besides the fact that my aopen_write routine is pretty bare - Just
fwriting f->data to the modem fd is the type is a voice frame), BUT, the
problem exists that the stream of audio we are getting back from the
translator contains the magic charactors 0x10 and 0x03 to take the modem
out of Voice Transmit mode.
I can hack up an O(n) routine to replace all instances of 0x10 with 0x11
(It's voice so that SHOULDN'T be fatal), but was wondering if anyone had
any other ideas first.
