it doesn't work at all. what happens is that calls into the extension are
passed into Meetme, but then asterisk CLI seems to hang (doesn't accept
user input) until a dtmf is sent. then the CLI responds to input again.
this is repeated as more callers join the conference. obviously, the
conferencing doesnt seem to work either.
HZ=1000 in the kernel with both zaptel.ko and ztdummy.ko loaded. this is
from the 0.8 version of the zaptel drivers from the ports. zttest shows
99.975586% consistently.

It does work on 5.X I don't know about 4.10. If the rentrant libc is the
same on 4.10 as 5.X then it will not work. It may be better to link with one
of the other thread libraries.

has anyone got MeetMe working with ztdummy on freebsd (either 4-STABLE or

that doesn't work on freebsd 4.10. when loading asterisk, chan_iax2
complains that the timer device (/dev/zap/timer) is not configured, though
both zaptel.ko and ztdummy.ko load fine. i'm using the zaptel drivers from
the ports, version 0.8. see http://www.freshports.org/misc/zaptel/

Which version of asterisk are you using?
asterisk 1.0.0.

which other thread libraries could i try with, and which makefiles would i
need to edit to change the library link calls ?

i've experimented with linking an asterisk 1.0.0 build against the linux
threads port (/usr/ports/devel/linuxthreads) and on the face of it, meetme
works well with ztdummy on 4.10. if anyone is interested in assisting with
testing of full working status with the other components, do let me know
and i'll pass you the patches to Makefile which would allow a link against
liblthread insted of libc_r.

I need to move my Asterisk to Freebsd 4.x tomorrow as well so any
patches and pointers would be greatly appreciated. Paying for a
reinstall just for Asterisk seems a bit much.
